A Very Long, Sad Story

I am sure many of you follow Lauren from Prince Harry Fanblog. Despite the name, the blog is much more about Lauren than Prince Harry. 

Lauren, of the hideuous, GIF based layout that nearly crashed my (new, very expensive) laptop when I tried to load multiple tabs. 

Lauren has a very interesting life. Her parents are wealthy because they have good jobs, and also because her grandfather who worked for Buckingham Palace left them “shitloads” of money. Her grandfather had met both the Queen and Queen Mother multiple times as a part of his job. She lives ten minutes from Buckingham Palace in London and can actually see the Palace from her window. Despite living in London, one of the most expensive cities in the world, her family’s home has three stories. 

November of 2013 was a very interesting month for Lauren. 

I’m going to post things in screenshot format because I think a lot of this may be deleted by tomorrow morning, and also because y'all really don’t need to have to load her horrible fucking layout. 

Here is a timeline of Lauren’s horrible, interesting month….

November 1- Lauren’s nine-year-old sister had to have an emergency operation for cancer. This is one of the first widely seen references to her sister’s illness, and results in an outpouring of support from the royal fandom.  Lauren posts a plea for understanding from the royal fandom in response to the supportive messages she’s received. She says she won’t be able to be on Tumblr as much in the coming weeks because of her sister’s illness, but in reality she’ll actually be on much more throughout the rest of 2013.

November 1 (later)- The first of many times Lauren’s account is compromised comes when she accidentally unfollows a bunch of people for no reason. She believes she’s been hacked.  Anyone who has ever done roleplaying knows how easy it is to accidentally do things on one account you meant to do on another, and when you don’t want people knowing it is in fact a roleplay the best way to cover this up is to claim you were hacked. 

November 2- Lauren begins receiving nasty, anonymous hate about her sick sister. Naturally, people message her calling this evil anon out. As for her sister, she's taken a turn for the worse but is still up and about dancing around all night. 

November 2 (later)- Lauren’s thirteen-year-old sister joins Tumblr. Her first post is of concern for their nine-year-old sister. Lauren is embarrassed about her sister being on Tumblr, despite the fact that she only ever posts two things. It’s worth remembering that Eleanor and Becca (anyone remember her, with the fake aristo boyfriend?) also had real life friends and relatives on Tumblr they encouraged their followers to also follow. Those accounts were typically poorly developed and didn’t post much except to play into the stories told by their main account because, honestly, who has time to develop the supporting characters of a complicated story? 

November 5- Lauren is officially not single anymore. She has been dating a guy named Luke for five whole days, but it is now “official” enough that she feels she can share it with Tumblr. 

November 6- Her nine-year-old sister had another operation.  

November 7- Lauren finds herself getting sick in the morning, and her boyfriend of seven whole days immediately suspects she’s pregnant. Lauren herself doubts this, and yet… 

November 8- Lauren posts a very vague, foreshadowing message about some good news she would love to share but can’t until it’s confirmed.  Could this news perhaps be related to a doctor’s visit? 

November 8 (later)- Yep! Lauren’s happy to announce that she and her boyfriend are expecting. She is fifteen weeks pregnant! Remember that at this point Lauren and Luke have been together for EIGHT DAYS.  Despite the fact that they’re still in their teens and literally just started dating, both of them are thrilled! And, yes, they were planning a baby! It’s been an eventful eight days, obviously. Both families are also thrilled! 

November 8 (even later)- Her good buddy Eleanor immediately messages her congratulations. And I mean immediately; of all the many congratulatory messages Lauren gets Eleanor’s seemingly arrives first. Interesting how they both sign their messages the exact same way. Also notice they use the exact same working “if you need any advice”/“if I need any advice”. 

November 9 (fucking finally)- Lauren admits that she hadn’t thought it was possible to get pregnant so quickly. Honestly, I wouldn’t have thought it was possible either. And, of course, Lauren’s already showing. 

November 9 (later)- She’s going shopping for baby stuff! And she’s going to find out the gender in only a few days! And she and Luke are already planning to move in together! At this point it has been NINE FUCKING DAYS that they’ve been together, and FOUR FUCKING DAYS since it’s been “official”. 

November 9 (she’s had a busy couple of days, OKAY?)- Eleanor is exposed, and Lauren jokes about her own realness. She then insists that she is completely legit. As one of the people closest to Eleanor, she also gets to answer weird questions about when she knew Eleanor was fake. 

November 11- Her sister is discharged from the hospital and comes home, despite earlier predictions that she would be there until December. It’s been five days since her last surgery. 

November 11 (later)- Lauren receives ten anonymous death threats, which she does not post. Okay, I get why people tend to get mad at Rachel, and the anti-Rachel blogs, but seriously why would anyone in this fandom be sending this girl death threats? Think about how much sense that makes. 

November 12- Lauren has her ultrasound and it’s a boy! She posts a picture of the sonogram, which has since been removed. It apparently looked like Batman. 

November 13- Lauren’s account is hacked yet again. And apparently it’s sending out weird messages. 

November 14- Lauren casually reveals her last name. 

November 15- Lauren goes shopping for baby clothes and announces she has five months to go until her son is born. She also explains how her new baby will be named Joey in honor of Luke’s brother who died in a car accident. 

November 16- Joey kicks for the first time. 

November 19- Lauren falls off her horse and worries about her unborn child. She decides to stop riding.  She hurt her back.  Her bumps has also gotten really big, and she tags her post nineteen weeks, though only ten days earlier she was fifteen weeks. 

November 20- Her sister dies. She gets tons of supportive comments (sickeningly, some of them are from people who really lost relatives to cancer), and doesn’t believe she’ll be on Tumblr much in the next few days. Obviously quite the opposite proves true. 

November 21-23 Lauren posts a picture of her sister to honor her. And a handwritten note. Of course the heartfelt condolence messages keep coming. 

November 23- Lauren is hanging out at Buckingham Palace and wants anons while she waits to get picked up. According to the tags, she’s “bored”. 

November 23 (later)- Lauren is getting more hate messages, but this time not anon. She still doesn’t publish them but says the person has been reported. 

November 24- Lauren suffers another fall and gets a black eye. She’s also bored again, and wants anons. 

November 25- Lauren is joking about naming her baby George. Also he’s kicking her bladder. 

November 28- Luke treats Lauren to a spa weekend. Well, she could use it after the month she’s had! 

November 29- So many accidents in poor Lauren’s life! This time a shelf fell on her. 

November 30- Just ten days after losing her sister and one day after her most recent fall, Lauren is fine! 

November 30 (later)- Lauren was hacked YET AGAIN WHAT THE FUCK IS HER PASSWORD IS IT “PASSWORD”??? 

Okay, and remember, that was all in the course of one month. 

I don’t have time to go into December, but let’s just say on December 3 we find out one of her sisters has anorexia, and on December 13 Lauren and her mom nearly die in a car crash. 

I’ve known Lauren was fake ever since her sister died and she was back messing around and joking on Tumblr within a week. The more I dug through her blog, the more inconsistencies I found, and the more convinced I became. Not to mention her frequent correspondence with Eleanor and Eleanor’s “sister” before they were exposed, and the similarities in their writing style. 

To be honest, Eleanor’s bullshit didn’t really bother me that much. Plenty of people on the internet lie about their boyfriends or kids or where they live. Lauren, on the other hand, this persona really got to me. What kind of sick, fucked-up, twisted person lies about losing their nine-year-old sister to cancer? 

I have done a lot of research into Lauren, and have taken two-hundred, and-fifty screenshots dating back about two months. You can view them on my Photobucket. If you are one of the people who messages Lauren and want your message removed, please message me and I will delete it. I felt the need to document as much as I could before Lauren got the chance to go in and delete stuff. Read the warm, heartfelt condolence messages she received. And then realize it was all a lie she told for attention. 

Though I have known Lauren was fake for a few weeks now, and shared it with others in the fandom, I was waiting to expose her until I had a smoking gun. As in, the kind of proof that finally did in Eleanor. 

Today, a friend of mine in the fandom who would prefer to remain anonymous gave me that smoking gun. 

Meet Paige. 

Paige is fairly public on Twitter, and she shares a lot of pictures. She is also, to be clear, not pregnant, and she hasn’t ever lost a sister to cancer. Nope, Paige is just an unfortunate girl who’s photos ended up in the wrong hands.

If you want to check Paige’s Twitter and Lauren’s blog going back a few months, you’ll see Lauren has stolen quite a few photos from Paige. I haven’t found the source of the photos of the headless pregnant bellies Lauren posted, nor of the photos of her siblings, but if anyone can find them please let me know. I’ve tried reverse image search but that doesn’t always work. A classic sign of a fake person online is a lack of group photos. As in, you may see Lauren with her boyfriend, but not with any of her sisters. And you see Lauren’s face, and her pregnant belly, but never in the same photo. Because Paige isn’t pregnant and Paige hasn’t uploaded photos with any girls who fit the ages of Lauren’s sisters. 

As for the sonogram photo Lauren apparently posted and later removed, my guess is that the picture showed up on a reverse image search and Lauren figured it would be too risky to keep it up. 

Now, we know for a fact Lauren had an account she made for her “sister” but never really used. It’s also pretty obvious she was sending herself anons, including anon hate, to get more attention. Most of the anons wrote in a style very similar to hers. 

I have had some serious debate over whether or not Lauren and Eleanor were one in the same. I believe they were; the other people in the fandom I have consulted about this issue disagree. I will admit I don’t know Eleanor’s story as well as most people as I had mono when the whole thing blew up and thus wasn’t online much. 

But I see a lot of similarities in the nature of their fictional lives and their writing styles. I also find it interesting that before Eleanor was exposed, Eleanor and her various sockpuppets were frequently messaging Lauren, almost as much as they were messaging each other. I also note that Lauren’s story “picked up” in many respects just as Eleanor was beginning to try and cover her tracks. 

Still, this issue is completely up in the air, and I realize a lot of people may disagree with that conclusion.

I am nearly 100% certain that Lauren had a different sockpuppet, though. 

This blog. 

It dates to May of this year, and is mainly made up of reblogs. Despite being full of hundreds of reblogged posts and dating back several months, the blog still has a default layout and no title. But that’s not what give it away as Lauren’s. No, the messages exchanged between the two do. 

This blogger was Lauren’s most frequent correspondent, even more frequent than Eleanor. 

First, I find it very interesting that two people who are supposedly such good friends would have all of their messages posted publicly. There are several people on Tumblr I am close to, and who I message about personal issues sometimes. But always privately, and only privately. The same is true for most people in the fandom. We’re all pretty tight, but if we are messaging the same people everyday to talk about our real lives, usually we switch to private quick. Also this person messages Lauren fairly frequently to ask for pictures, something that people often send themselves anons about when they want to post one but don’t want to seem vain. And Lauren always responds right away. Perhaps Paige had just posted a new selfie or Google images turned up an especially pretty baby bump and she felt like sharing?

Second, there are some very weird similarities in their writing styles. 

In this message, they both use the exact same smiley face followed by x’s. This one too. In this question, and in Lauren’s reply, they put their x’s right after punctuation with no space in between, which is pretty odd. More of the same smilies and x’s. They both spell “aw” with one “w” as you can see from these two messages. 

You can see both accounts have an extremely distinct writing style. The same could be said for Eleanor, in my opinion. 

I know a lot of people may disagree with my decision to expose this, but I felt like it was necessary. I do not think this sort of behavior should be tolerated by the royal fandom. This girl lied about one of the most tragic things a family could ever experience, and I could not allow her to keep lying unchallenged. 

I think people who lie about cancer are sick, disgusting individuals. It’s also just sad and pathetic, because it was clearly done for attention. Lauren killed off her “sister” so unexpectedly because her story about falling off the horse didn’t get her the attention she wanted. There is something deeply wrong with the person behind all of this. 

My addition:

willkateandharrymyobsession was found to be innocent in all this. So ignore the last part of the story about her.

In a rare update, I can tell you as of 2018 Lauren is a regular 18 year old with no baby and working at takeout place.
