longlivekingcambridge (Eleanor) : Catfish

Eleanor was an iconic catfish in the royal fandom from 2013 who really bought this trend to us. She was not the first, but she did arguably get the biggest reaction and is probably the best known.


Eleanor started her fandom life as a One Direction blog and was well known for being a big fan. Coincidentally, her husbands’s name was Liam. While still a 1D blog, she was already contacting royal fandom members (and telling them she was pregnant)

When she joined the fandom as windsorsandmiddletons (I think this was like Spring 2013), she came with her story of being 20/21 living with her husband just next to Buckingham Palace, with her baby on the way. I think it’s pretty likely she sent these asks to ijustcambridge herself

At some point in the Summer of 2013 she changed her handle to longlivekingcambridge. She soon made friends in the fandom and sent out ‘sweet’ messages like these (to maryandkateourfuturequeens)


In July, Eleanor claimed she was outside the Lindo Wing waiting to see Prince George. But wouldnt post any photos.

Eleanor had a big family, some of who had blogs

@airforcewifey94 belonged to one of her sisters


@ladycatherinewalters was her boyfirend’s sister


And she also claimed to meet a lot of celebs

On November 1 2013, it was time for the baby to arrive and of course, it had to be live blogged! And she had time to answer hate too


The baby was named Christopher Henry George. And an ‘anon’ wasted no time messaging half the fandom to let them know it was born. I was gonna add a photo of the baby here but I thought that’d be kinda weird as it’s someone’s child, but she was posting photos of a baby boy when it was born.


And so, baby Chris was here and all was well. Important to note her that throughout her time in the fandom, she was posting photos of herself, Liam and baby Chris.


November 7 2013 was a big day for Eleanor. Firstly she offended a lot of the fandom by implying being gay was wrong…

And then she claimed to be friends with another blog who’d (allegedly) had a baby, Jen (williamwalesandkatemiddleton). But as Jen had deleted her blog by this point, it was down to her friend to deny it.


On November 10, 2013, a blog was set up called royallyannoyed. They exposed Eleanor for lying about her pregnancy and using other people’s pictures


Royallyannoyed found the real people in the photos she’d used

Once she had been exposed the fandom came out in force with things they’d noticed about her -


Eleanor deleted all three blogs a few hours after royallyannoyed’s post. The fandom kinda revelled in this exposure and any kind of catfishing going forward was called ‘pulling and Eleanor’.


Over the next couple of months, anon messages were sent to various people (most likely from Eleanor herself, about herself. In Jan 2014, ravishingtheroyals (Crystal) had enough.


At the same time Crystal exposed her for returning as williamkateandharry. She was back and she was pretending to be pregnant AGAIN.


Ironically, she refused to post photos of her baby this time

williamkateandharry deleted her blog too.


That concludes the legend of Eleanor. There are so many more posts and little things that I didnt include in this including a reference to some drama she caused with George v. Estelle. But there was so much more than I remember to Eleanor.

I think it’s safe to say she stuck around in the fandom for a good while after she deleted but as to where she is now…that’s anyone’s guess!
